A Calavera is a poem describing a person's hubris and a death which might befall them because of it. I chose Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader since 2015 because of the unbelievable hypocrisy and disregard for the American people he showcased when he refused to allow the senate confirmation hearings of Merrick Garland (nominated by a democrat) for the Supreme Court...his reason being that it was too close to a general election, however, he held the hearings for Amy Coney Barrett (nominated by a republican) even closer to a general election. There are many other callous actions he has exacted and encouraged, but this one was the most heinous.
